Consultancies
Olympic Boulevade, Sydney Fishermans Island Cairns International Airport
Consultancies have been received both from within Australia and overseas for advice on pavement materials and for the design and specification of major airport and industrial pavements.  Several of these pavements have subsequently been described in the technical press.   Forensic engineering expertise has also been provided for a wide range of pavement engineering problems and for pavement failures around the world.
Consulting in Australasia

The design, specification and evaluation of pavements for several important Australian transport facilities has been undertaken either in conjunction with local consultants or alone.  These facilities include such diverse projects as the Australian National Railways Container Terminal, Adelaide, port developments in Port Lincoln, Robe, Gladstone, Melbourne and Brisbane, terminals for the O-Bahn guided busway, Adelaide, Brisbane City Markets, the Darling Harbour Redevelopment Scheme, and Coordination of the paving of the 2000 Olympics Site, Sydney.

Airport projects have included Cairns International Airport, Kingsford-Smith International Airport, Sydney, Yorke Island airfield in the Torres Strait and several airports in Papua New Guinea.

Other consultancies have included the serviceability of traffic loop detectors, the abrasion resistance of concrete pavers, structural studies of concrete block paving (CBP), field and laboratory tests of permeable eco-paving and trials and implementation of articulated rigid pavements (Enviropave).

Overseas Consultancies

Overseas consultancies have focussed on the design of large industrial and airport pavements.   Industrial projects include the pavements at the Massey Coal Terminal, Newport News, Virginia, and the Canadian-Pacific Container Facility at Edmonton, Alberta.   Designs have also been prepared for container facilities in Canada, the USA, Lebanon, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Jamaica and Malaysia.

Airport pavement designs have been implemented at Stansted, London, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
.
Design consultancies have also been undertaken for roads and downtown redevelopments in Canada and the U.S.A.

Other consultancies include the testing and evaluation of  new concrete pavers for European manufacturers.
